The idea behind thrift stores being a place to get great deals is that we, the customers, go to the store and look for stuff ourselves.
Its difficult for the employees to find just what you are looking for from the various items people donate. They have no control over what is donated and will often have only one of a particular item. You would want to see it to determine the quality and condition of the item.
Not everything at Deseret Industries is inventoried due to most items sold being donations. The only items inventoried are new value items such as pillows, mattresses, dressers, nightstands, etc.
