There are MANY services to be had here and MANY programs to take advantage of. There's a Resource Room with computers, fax, and copiers all free of charge to use. There's no time limit for the use of computers however there is a 10 page copy limit. The staff is ALWAYS happy to assist. Key word being, "ASSIST". They do not do your work for you. There are telephones for unemployment as well. They also have Veterans PRIORITY Services. There's also a SNAP representative present on Mondays and Tuesdays. They just started back with Hope For Prisoners. So many Services to choose from. Check out the education programs free of charge for low income qualifying candidates.

They were extremely helpful and resourceful at this location. Although they did not get me what I went there for. I was referred there by a security guard to get a guard card For free but they ran out of funds..lol..(story of my life)..

Yes
Yes go to www. ui.nv.gov and start the process online because Nevada does not have an actual unemployment office, so JobConnect is the resource you can start you claim.
Is it mandatory that I show up or dropping it off a social security card and birth certificate
No. Job connect won't help you file a claim. They won't do it. The employment specialist have been instructed not to advise or assist you regarding that or guiding you through the process. JC is self service for the most part. They have computers, printers, a copier and a fax machine you may use. You can check in and meet with a specialist one on one. They'll only provide job connect services. That's it.
Not sure. But the state welfare does. You should also contact the care complex they will give you great referrals. Ask for Brittany corder or mercedes. Great people their...
