You should so you will know what type of rats you are aquiring.
Very hard to stray about this for big box stores. Always have to hope for a rat farm or rat packs. Little inbreeding if any with strong hearts and soft paws. Never really thought about rat mills for large population and high turn over. I really hope that's not a thing but if it's feeder rats? Idk but fun rabbit hole. 🐇
