Remember that it's tough to dye black hair blonde. First the darker color has to be bleached out and the blonde applied over it. This can cause your hair to suffer dryness and damage. (THIS is what I've read and seen among ppl I know, I am NOT a beautician). Many people consider a blonde synthetic style to try out those colors which does does not damage your hair and can be changed up frequently without too much of a long term commitment. This is a fun alternative! I'm sure the salon will do a consult on your hair and desired style & color. Good luck!
If you got it done at the salon, then speak with the owner about your results. If you need help in choosing the right type of blonde color, make an appointment to see one of the hair stylist can have a consultation with you and discuss your coloring options.
Hi DaSaun, You have received some really great answers here from some of our clients who are also local guides. An experienced colorist can assess whether or not you can achieve the color that you desire and can help you to get to the color that is within reason. Dyed Black hair is a very difficult color to lift however, if you have not dyed your hair within the last 6 months or if your hair is natural, you might be able to achieve the lighter color that you desire. We would recommend that you come in for a consultation, which is free, so that a colorist can see your hair and help you to get a realistic expectation of a color that you can achieve.
