We camp oceana dunes all the time we also have a very large trailer and yes you will need a 4 wheel drive. You have to air down your tires and you can Camp right in front of the ocean it awesome!! Go on to Facebook and go to their page its called OCEANO DUNE RIDER'S-ODR. you will find everything you need to know on that page or ask questions people will answer you right away. Yes you should be fine. They will tell you where to park.
To camp on dunes requires 4 wheel drive. The high tide is known to invade areas people have camp. Like I was allowed in my car to drive to friends camper during low tide and rangers very specific about time I needed to leave. Saw plenty of trucks driving through surf.
Not very many Class A's with 4x4. I see class A's parking on the beach camping all the time. However, be aware of the tides and soft sand. Reservations on line only.
