3/31/18 There are maybe 300 or so left at the Grove. There was 14,000 at the peak in Dec & early Jan. Monarch butterfly overwintering season is from mid October thru the end of February. Then they head back North East

Was just there at the beginning of March and there were only a few butterflies left.

The most butterflies are there in late December to January. Each month after that the population gets lower and lower. Late March into April there may only be a few thousand left at the most.

It's visiting the place that's exciting, there is lots to see and read. My wife and I saw few, that was few weeks ago. You just never know it could be your lucky day
