We drove from Cottonwood Heights one Sunday to hang out at this splash pad and park based on the news showing it the noght before, only to find the same thing. No water! They dont need a whole day for cleaning and filtering the water, what BS. Sunday is our family day as well. We found the Wardle Fields Regional park in Bluffdale. The splash pad is on on Sundays and is AWESOME!!! Its about a 20 min drive from Cory Wride located at 14148 2700 W, Bluffdale, UT 84065, if your looking for a great park and splash pad for Sundays
It's temporary, recommended by the manufacturer. It is scheduled after the busiest/high use day. I was there on a weekday and it was really sad to see how many parents let their kids put food and garbage in the water. Tiny babies wading with Cheeto bags that I later saw floating around half eaten. The fun sand toys from the sand pit to the water. I get that we're all there to have fun. I don't judge other parents, I'm not up for "mom of the year" by a long shot! Yes I picked up garbage, no I don't dare correct others children. Why all the info? The splash pad is doing really hard work. I'm sorry for those that traveled on Sunday and didn't get to play!
Its due to the type of system that it is. The manufacturer recomends that it be turned off one day a week. Sunday was chosen because Saturday is the day it is mosy heavily used.
Exactly my thoughts or even friday when everyone is busy sunday is family day
High LDS population in the area means Sundays are the best days to close park. Although the park is open to anyone, the hours and such cater to the local demographic.
