What's the difference between the first and so forth editions to a book. So it's the same book but printed at different years. Is it the same first printing or what? I have a 1949 Robert frost complete poems? Without the dust cover.

Well editions do change. Things could be added that were not in the original. Sometimes a new forward or afterwards. Spelling errors could be corrected ect. Normally people want the dust cover it can make a HUGE difference of price.
