We received a letter from the Duke of Buccleuch asking us why we were named Buccleuch. Colonel Joseph Warren Scott bought the house and named it for his homeland.
Buccleuch is a place in Scotland. When the mansion was purchased by Joseph Scott in 1821, he renamed it after his Scottish home.
