Most of the physical structures are intact. Cleanup efforts are ongoing, however, Florida Sea Base 73.8 is close to operational. We have volunteers and staff working to clean up the base now. Our goal is to have the base running as normal on October 7, with some ongoing cleanup taking place at the Brinton Environmental Center and Big Munsen Island through November.
Here for a training Course. The only thing they really got was 18” of water in the Scuba classroom which they are working. on this week. Everything else seems to be fine. Big Munson Island was a different story. Brenton was designed to handle hurricanes and was a FEMA hq site
I believe that all of the ships and their respective captains either got out of the way or were brought on land. I'm not sure what happened at the physical base.
Thank you, anyone actually at the camp having additional information.
