It is a state funded museum located in the capital of Illinois.
It contains a history of the State of Illinois. Its exhibits contain fossils, rocks, wildlife and native American life. It is extremely interesting and worth the trip. There is also an area for children and families. While in Springfield check out numerous other museums and walking tours. There is plenty to do and see.
