A reservation is recommended . They open around 4pm I believe and the line forms early. If you do not want to wait an hour or more, get there as soon as the doors open or make a reservation.
If you want sushi its easy to get a 2-6 table at almost anytime. They can bring you hibachi food without the show. Plates are smaller. If you want the show its best to call and see if they are busy. Will not seat a party without all people there.
No you don't. You can just go there but depending on the time you might have to wait for a table.
