Are there local people who can set up an out of state bow hunter with an early season hunt, without breaking the bank ?

Hello Craig, The hunting license and tags for non residents are draw only (except for B tags). Those drawings are conducted by the state and need to be submitted before March 15th before the season you want to hunt. You can do that via FWP.MT.GOV and you would also need to prove your bow hunt status with a prior year tag or certification from your home state. There are guides and outfitters that can help you with a hunt although not many in the Flathead Valley (where we are located). I hope this helps a little bit.

MT, Like most states, likely all 50, has fixed rates for licenses and tags. These are displayed in the regulations which of course snappys has, or look online
