You may be surprised of the high number of LGBTQ church members there are...also know that the Church protects LGBTQ fairness e.g. The Church backed a fairness for all approach to legislation in 2015 when it supported a bill passed in the Utah legislature that both protected religious freedom and banned discrimination in housing and employment against LGBT people... Being LGBT is not in line with the Gospel. We love the individual, but do not encourage practices that are against God's teachings. My understanding on this.
