We hiked out to see/hear the tree yesterday and there were no chimes. It was a windy day but nothing. Plaque said it was the signing tree. Have they been taken down permanently?

it's right (if your facing the museum) at the front of the park. You need to be underneath the tree to hear it. They do apparently take them down to be cleaned occasionally.

The chimes ARE gone along with one of the two benches! One of my favorite spots that I've been to many times. It's like someone has taken away part of my soul! I actually found a video of the chimes and played it and wonderef how the old oak felt about it. Very sad day!
