Well Lance there still needs to be some types legislation, Laws in place to protect lower income home owners who have lived here thur generations, born and raised. This is clearly an agenda to push out the poor, blks and disenfranchised to overtake the city and they've just about accomplished their goal. This is just NOT happening in n.o.la but in every blk/ brown community in this United States. Yes, there's a clear as crystal plan to do "out with the old in with the new", Ray Charles could see this.

The assessors just put a price on your house compared to sales in your neighborhood and similar. City sets millage which calculates your taxes. Plus if you put a cap on already "cheap" properties as your say... they will get picked up more... renovated and flipped at higher price. How can a cap help? You need to rethink your argument.
