If you need a Hip or leg MRI you can enter the machine Feet first, allowing your Head to be out of the Tube. Much more relaxing! ESP if you’re Claustrophobic.
It's not an open MRI. The quality of a non open MRI is much better.
No, it has a larger bore (opening), but is not considered "open".
