I got my Blue nose pittbull Cyrus from Providence a little over a year ago. My experience with the shelter has been nothing but great. I explained to them my preference for the temperament of the dog I wanted. They knew all the dog's temperaments and led me straight to the dog they thought would fit my life style. ( good with other dogs and good with kids). I've had my dog Cyrus a little over a year and he is the best thing that ever happened to me. I can't imagine my life without him. At first he was having some stomach issues, most likely from the previous owners not feeding him properly. He was skinny and lethargic. But any time I called Providence they worked with me and gave me suggestions. A few months ago someone offered me 2000.00 dollars for him. It took me half a second to tell them hell no. The point im trying to make. The adoption price should be irrelevant. I would put my life before I allow something to happen to my furry son.

I’m pretty sure their fees are reasonable. Never heard of 200. Except perhaps for purebreds or aggressive breeds. Usually they are fixed and chipped and healthy with all shots. Some may have a handicap that you can live with. But a vet charges much much more for having all these things done, believe me. I’ve rescued and vetted HUNDREDS! I have adopted great dogs from them as has my family
