Can I take my kayak out of the river there?

Yes you can if you are a member. It's $30 or $40 for a year membership

Not in there. But at the Kings Ferry Crossing at highway 17 downstream on the Ogeechee River.Or at Morgan's Bridge in Bryan County upstream form the canal of Highway 280.

You can take your Kayak out of the river where the canal and Ogeechee meet, but it is a fair hike up the dyke to the parking lot. Depending on the le so of the river it is possible to paddle up the canal as far as the bridge.
