Beautiful area with shopping, restaurants and you can walk along the bay and relax! Very touristy but worth visiting.

Will be visiting this weekend. How much is a trolley tour for two adults
I'd recommend the daytime trolley as #1 it's the best way to get around the Historic and Victorian districts which are a must. Then #2 while you're checking out the beautiful areas hop off the trolley at our amazing Cathedral of St. John the Baptist another must, and then take it to #3 City Market, hop back on and then take it to River street for a while to really unwind. The latter 2 are not only very popular but also loaded with shops, lounges, galleries, awesome restaurants as well as a River boat cruise $ .. a dolphin tour $ ... plus a free ferry. The Pirates house would be a great dinner spot. All of those you can get to from the trolleys. P.S. if you don't have small children do one of the ghost tours
Well we just got a few inches of snow, the last time was 1989, Winters are generally mild and short. The summers though can be quite balmy and grueling. People for the most part are very friendly, the city is beautiful ... steeped in history, and it is a slower more relaxed environment. Also very affordable compared to bigger cities in the Northeast and West coasts.
3 awesome breakfast places are.. Henri's on York St.,.. Goose Feathers on Barnard St. and B. Matthews eatery on Bay and Habersham.... A few lunch thoughts are Spankys (best chicken fingers).... Vinnie Van gogos (best pizza) Wet Willies and B&D (best burgers) Zunzi's (best sandwich/sub) But also must dos if time allows are Mrs Wilkes boarding house for lunch and The Pirates House is a must do dinner ... Here's just a few of the great dinner places ... CrystalBeer parlor... Vics on the river... and Tubbys tankhouse.. P.S. the majority of restaurants you'll find in Savannahs historic district are incredible.
Google carriage rides in Savanah, we did the trolley ride also, it was excellent
Pretty much each of the above mentioned comments are applicable to Savannah probably the two best choices would be the hotel option or if you have to you can park at the chamber of commerce which resembles an old train station it's where all of the paid trolley start. Honestly the trolley tours aren't a bad deal very reasonably priced you can ride around with a guided tourist you can hop off see something get back on really a great deal I would recommend that first that way you can see all of Savannah with a guide or you can hop off and hop back on it anytime and at the end of the tour you're back in the parking lot with your vehicle
Mrs Wilkes is great if you crave soul food. It's open between 11 AM and 2 PM. Come early as the line gets big fast... Sandfly BBQ is another great spot.
You can ride the free trolley to and from the visitor center it is a purple bus
99% of all visitors wore a mask, walking around the area was fine. Most places were open, restaurants placed people 6ft apart. Walking the river front was very enjoyable! Go for it!!
The weather was nice. Light jacket to short sleeve shirt. Temps in the mid 60's and not too humid unlike the summer time weather.
Call the establishments your interested in visiting.
We toured historic Savannah on the Old Town Trolley. It was great! Very informative and interesting. Lots of homes were included. Great value for $26-30. We paid 26 because we took it later in the afternoon. You can get on and off often.
July was really hot. But almost anytime is good. You can check for special events like st. Patrick's day, there's a big party.
I believe you can also pay to park where you catch the historic trolley rides at the visitors center
Stunning. A little cooler than our sweet, sultry summers and missing fall colors since we're blessed with many trees that do not lose their leaves at all. But exciting, beautiful and vibrant. Halloween is particularly fun in America's most haunted city.
Historic Savannah is not so big you can stay in the place that suits your budget. There are so many hotels whole city.
No. They have buses that run throughout. Tours are reasonable also.definitely checkout the prohibition museum!!
I don't know but don't miss out on Betty Bombers. Probably Savannah's best kept secret
We enjoyed the CHRISTAL PALACE AND PUB LOCATED CLOSE TO THE B HISTORIC HOTEL
We did the horse and buggy tour it was 25 dollars a person. Lots of fun and informative. Worth the money.
No the closest ones are about 7 miles out, and honestly trying to maneuver the area in Savannahs historic district in an RV is not a safe idea. Suggestion.. Park the RV at Redgate and get shuttled in and around the district during the day on the on/off trolley, it's cheaper than a cab and does a lot more for ya. They do bring you back though by 4:30pm... There is also a free DOT shuttle but it doesn't go out of the historic area.
This time of year it varies but right now it's cold
