My cat ran away recently and I am wondering if people turn in strays to you and what the process may be. Would she be included with all the other cat pics that are up for adoption?

HS also holds Strays for 5 days and checks for microchips or rabies registrations. (Contigent on space being available). After that they will try to process for adoption. I would call them

Mike you need to check with York County Animal Control on Hwy 5 near Moss Justice Center. They hold stray/lost animals for 5 days before offering to public. You have to go in person as they won't discuss found pets over the phone. Also will be a 75 dollar recovery fee if they have your cat! I'm not sure about York County Humane Society in Ft Mill, however, I do know that is a NO KILL shelter and they keep their animals for as long as necessary to find a home. I would imagine they also have a waiting period before offering for adoption. Good luck. Hope you find your cat.
