Great people and excellent customer service. Easy to make an appointment and adopt my pet Bolt.

We adopted a cat from the Human Society. They were all very nice and the animals seem to be very happy.

I adopted two young cats. One has been very sick and should have been treated before adoption. This is inhumane and so sad. She has to now go through all sorts of prescriptions and treatment. I can’t even think about what her life would have been staying there. Yeah
PMV
Simply outstanding. Over the years have gotten numerous cats. The team is excellent.

Hello Leslie, please find details on our website. Thank you. https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/pet-owners/spay-neuter/servicescost.html
We need sensitive stomach cat food , cat and dog toys , cat litter and Anything else you would like to send :) thanks so much for helping us help the fur babies !!
I'm sure they would love to have you. Good luck!
They had a group of brownies (jr. Girl scouts) there one day with the troup leader volunteering.
You can go to their website and look for what they're in need of but they always need cat litter and canned cat food they also always need cat and dog toys and I'm sure they need blankets all the time as well I don't work there so this is just stuff I know for a fact that they need pretty much all the time. Hope this helps
Humane Society of York County
Hi Galen, the link below takes you to the Humane Society page with details on how to surrender a cat. Best of luck to you and the kitty. I feel sure they will find him/her a good home. https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/pet-owners/surrender-your-pet.html
12:00 noon. Hope you find a sweet furbaby!
As far as I know, yes!
I went by there and they accept blankets, towels, sheets, etc., but not pillows as the dogs tend to shred them!
If they have room they will take cats, and they are a no kill shelter. Best to give a call and see if the have room
Absolutely.... York County Humane Society on Regent Prkwy in Ft Mill is a "no kill" shelter. They will keep them as long as necessary to find them homes. Check their hours of operation on their website as they aren't open from 9 to 5the hours vary.
Hi! You need to be 16 years old to volunteer on your own. If you're younger than 16, you can volunteer with a parent or guardian.
To SPAY a female animal depends on the type of animal (dog /cat). Their current Spay Neuter Programs include No Cost - Low Income Spay Neuter Program funded by Petco Foundation, Canine Spay Neuter Progam in partnership with a community S/N transport and the Cat Clinic Program in partnership with Carolina Animal Hospital.
The HSYC only has domestic dogs and cats for adoption.
Yes, they have a number to call to schedule an appointment.
They often have a wide variety of dogs both in breed and age
I'm not positive but I think it is a daily charge based on how long your pet is there
No, ťry the Humane Society of Charlotte
To my knowledge the shelter cares for cats and dogs, but l suggest you call them to be sure. If you are interested in adopting another type of animal they may be able to direct you to a shelter devoted to that species.
Tonya, I am not sure. I think you need to call the shelter for an answer to this question and I hope you will call them. If they can't take your dog until you get settled they probably know someone who can. Best of luck to you!
The humane society can find a home for them.
You'll need to contact the shelter directly. Usually they will take a surrendered animal if they have room for it.
We require meet and greets between dogs before the adoption process continues, so we just ask that you come in and apply first so we can do a vet check on your baby!
Laura, you will need to call the shelter. They will be happy to help you.
Yes. I know that they will appreciate your donation!
Im sorry, but i have no idea. I suggest you speak to them regarding volunteer options.
If you can get them, I'm sure the Humane Society would love to help them.
I have a chawinnie that is about a year old that I am trying to find a good home for. I’m having to relocate and can’t take him. If you are interested reply back to this Q&A
HS also holds Strays for 5 days and checks for microchips or rabies registrations. (Contigent on space being available). After that they will try to process for adoption. I would call them
Very reasonable since they are getting their shots and regular checkups. Petsmart does same.
No, you would have to go to the vet. Carolina Place Animal Hospital is right next door if you need one.
You would need to go on their website and sign up to volunteer. I think you can start right away but if you would like to help walk the dogs you would need to take an orientation class and they will usually let you know what day it is
Absolutely! HSYC always accepts towels, hand towels, washcloths, and sheets, and big blankets.
No, the Humane Society is only dogs and cats.
Since you probably don't know much about them you won't be able to give them any information about them they usually want to know if they been heartworm tested and have their rabies shots and stuff like that but since you don't know anything about them and it looks like they've been abandoned maybe they'll go ahead and take them but they'll have to quarantine them I would call them first I think or email them
These people that live next to us they have cats that keep get sick and dying and they the guy give they one cat cough medican one day and the cat died the barrowed it under the tree
I'm not sure. But they have a veterinarian hospital right next door the Humane Society. You always try there
I definitely agree! I was there the other day and I heard that they are just about at full capacity! It was a little heartbreaking to see but I was told by the staff that This Thanksgiving weekend actually, all of the cats will be $50. That includes spay/neuter, age appropriate shots, microchips and a little more. Hopfully this helps a little ma'am and sorry for your loss.
I think it all depends if there is any room for it.
If the dog is a stray only the department of transportation will pick up deceased animals, you will have to get ahold of the maintenance department.
