I have had a Costco card for years, and
assumed my member number was
the credit card numbers. Costco says
that is not my member number. Looked
at last statement and nowhere is there
a "member number" to be found.
What can I do now?

Go to the store and speak to the front counter reps face to face and get whatever you need in writing so you can refer back to it when you need to. Then go shopping and buy some delicious mixed nuts. Good luck.

The Costco member number is also in small numbers on the back of your Costco credit card.
