Sooo is a blood clot in the lungs not deemed priority i mean its literally 12 hours worth of wait time nothing for comfort a "blame game" staff and hell the night manager had us come back because of the abnormal labs even though his staff stated we could die waiting....we...are..still...waiting
Brittney Fox do tou mean to say in non peak (when it is quietest) the wait times are still as long as 5-6 hours? Why are wait times so long when its not busy? You are in and out within 2hrs at the hospital i go to unless you have to have multiple tests like blood work, any form of ultrasounds for baby or other organs, or x rays but even then to get in is much less than that? Are there space issues, understaffed? High patient base even on non peak?
The average ER wait time is 5-6 hours during non peak hours. It's also dependent on the severity of your emergency, more urgent health problems are given priority while less urgent patients are first come first serve. As it should be. Piedmont Fayette isn't much better in terms of wait time, but the waiting room is a lot more comfortable and doesn't have broken chairs and broken tile like southern regional does. Maybe call esch hospital ahead to see how busy they are and go to whichever is less busy.
