The most slowest hospital ever, I went in at 3pm and didn't get out of there till 6:30 am....I went in thinking I needed stitches in my hand only for them to soak it and clean it and bandage it. Smh never again will I ever go there for anything ever!! And the staff is so RUDE. They talk to be ppl crazy and they don't care

This is the worst place ever to go to if you have an emergency. I wouldn't even bring my dog here for flea medicine. The nurses are so rude and snippy, as if their job is dehumanizing you. God forbid you have a question during your 14hr wait. And the nightly RN was the worst!!! Screaming at ppl if they fell asleep or miss their name by being in the bathroom. 2 ppl with chest pain and shortness of breath. We waited 14 and 15 hrs. An older lady who fell hard and hit her head been waiting 17 hrs dizzy and probably had a concussion They have no sense of urgency, unless you pay that ambulance fee. This place makes Grady look like a 5 star in real life. Dont waste your time. Cuz that's 14hrs I can't get back, still unseen and bout to head to another hospital. Symptoms getting worse but I have a better chance anywhere else. I legit told my best friend, if I die here sue them because that don't care about their patients and have no sense of urgency for ppl with severe issues. I'm just shocked as a nurse how do you have no empathy and you like to talk down on your patients. They need training on being organized and mostly on how to at least treat ppl like u would want to be treated. I'd give it - Stars to be honest If I could. Worse experience with any type of person from any occupation.

I don't know how this place has any more than one star. One of the staff was extremely rude. There was a patient who was sleep (after waiting for at least 3hrs) and the nurse KICKED HIS FOOT and said "We've been calling your name all night! Do you want to be seen or not?? You can't sleep here you need to leave." Minding you, this man has been there for over three hours with no avail. Furthermore, the wait time is absolutely ridiculous. I did not get my triage until two hours after I arrived and I haven't even been seen. I have been here since 10:53pm, it is currently 4:42am and I have not been helped at all. The older man next to me (about 70 years old) has been here since 7pm and has not been called. They won't even give you blankets to sit in that cold waiting room. One thing I can say is that the bathrooms were clean, other than that my experience was awful. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to my worst enemy.

I agree, the emergency room may be hectic, but the other departments are great and take well care of patients. Congratulations for beating cancer! You rock!!!!

I was there Saturday and my boyfriend said the same thing. The only person who genuinely cared was Shaun the ultrasound tech. Other than that i arrived at 5am on the dot at 12pm i was still waiting for the doctor and they gave my room to someone else so i was back in the waiting room. So i left because they obviously dont care about me or my baby.

You should leave a review. Also, report your experience to the HR department at the hospital, take names, there are also signs on the walls I believe with a number to report any issues or concerns good or bad. I think it's near the area they take your insurance information. Try Fayette piedmont hospital, they may have better wait times. Some days are more busy than others, it's an emergency department, not a scheduled doctor's office so they have to serve according to severity regardless of where you go. Typical wait time at southern regional is at least 5 hours in the ER.
Sooo is a blood clot in the lungs not deemed priority i mean its literally 12 hours worth of wait time nothing for comfort a "blame game" staff and hell the night manager had us come back because of the abnormal labs even though his staff stated we could die waiting....we...are..still...waiting
After I got with some head administrators my mothers stay got better

No its not right my brother was there in May with terrible stomach pain, pain was over 10 we had to rush him to Grady where he had to have an emergency surgery. He could have died if we left him there. I would never recommend anyone to go that hospital. Sorry they kept your wife waiting that long.

That's just the maternity portion. I was a patient there twice and my husband last year. All the staff was amazing.
I don't know how long the wait is in the ER. I was there for a specialty unit. The reception, intake and nursing staff is very professional and attentive.

Make a report to human resources, They can't fix the issue if they don't know. There are many good staff members, but there are also incompetent ones. You should take down the names of the ones that have given you issues and report them. Google does not have any connections to the hospital
Yes But I advise you to got to the next County Hospital. We just moved here My Granddaughter is there now. WITH SEVERE ABDOMINAL PAIN SEVERE ABDOMINAL PAIN!!!! SHE IS 2yrs.old vomiting and CHILLS. AS I'M TYPING SHE IS BEING DISCHARGED WITH NO MEDICAL CONDITION!!!!!!!!! OMGGGGGGG WE ARE HEADING TO THE NEXT COUNTY HOSPITAL. I JUST READ ALL OF THE REVIEWS .
