FUE hair transplant healing in the donor area really depends on the number of grafts, the surgeon's skills and it vary from patient to patient becuase every patient has different healing characteristings but usually it takes the donor area 3-7 days to heal and most patient can go back to work during this period, some patients go back to work after one day. In the recipient area it takes 7-10 days for the redness and crust to go away but some patients with sensitive skin can some sort of redness up to 1 month. A daily care of washes using soap and water can can promote fast healing in both the donor and recipient area, we recommend using a soft sponge in the recipient area to apply it. In general the patient can resume full activities within 2-3 days after the surgery.
During the treatment, a special bandage is applied to the patient's head section and the patient is discharged a few hours later. While pain is uncommon, pain relievers are given to alleviate pain. In general, the patient will return to work by keeping the head covered after a home rest of 3 days. The first dressing of the surgical wound happens on the 5th day.
