help! Found a tiny baby rabbit in my yard two hours ago and it’s still sitting there. I don’t know if it’s injured as I’ve not touched it. What should I do?

What if the mother has died

We also rescued a baby deer and it followed our dogs around in and out of the house when it got a little bit bigger it finally went on through the woods following other deer

Leave the baby alone! Rabbit mother's don't stay with their young during the day, it draws attention to the nest (easily noticed by predators). The mother will most likely come back, as stated by someone previously. Thank you for your concern!

Leave it be. The info provided by the Ohio Wildlife Center on rabbits shows that most are okay on their own. If you believe it to be injured, contact the OWC. If the bunny has open eyes and is alert, it's most likely okay. Mom only comes around at dawn and dusk. :)

Try to capture it safely and bring it into the ohio wildlife center
