I have never had reservations when going here. They aren't particularly reservation-friendly in the sense that they don't have online reservations and they can be hard to reach by phone as they are a small operation, so if people are busy, you have to call back. I would say it is more a 'call ahead' type of place if there will be more than 4 in your party. If you are going before 6, I doubt you would need to worry.
Not "needed" but I'd recommend a reservation.
Not required, but because it's a little small, I'd attempt to make one if dining on the weekend.
I never really had to reserve, unless you are bringing a big party you should just to take precaution.
