Hi, What paper work do you need to adopt a dog? We are coming from Vermont and CT and would like to have all our ducks in a row. Is there anything special that you need to bring?

They need approval to show that it's permitted to have a dog at your residency. If coop or condo, needs to show that from management. If rented, then a letter from landlord. Other than that, you will need to fill out paper works there

Form of ID, copy of your lease, utility bill/proof of address good to have too just in case

Just a form of ID should suffice. They ask you a lot of questions on the application paperwork and ask for references and their phone numbers.
