Exactly what percentage of donations goes for the animals?

Mary Ann, I am not sure what percentage of donations goes directly to caring for the animals but I will look into that for you. I am certain that everyone who works at North Shore Animal League does it based on their love and wish to care for dogs and cats who needed their love and assistance. I don't believe they are a bunch of overpaid people who don't care, everyone there cares and loves every animal. I worked there 30 years ago and was amazed by the number of donations and the amounts of money donated. They started with a small house and have grown to several buildings used to treat the animals. I will ask and see if I can get you an answer by mid February.

That's an excellent question. I am respectfully not aware. I personally paid$400 for our adopted puppy, 7 weeks old
