I would call 911 if that happens. That's an emergency for an ER not an urgent care.
I've had nothing but exemplary care from Ellis on Sitterly Rd. Did he die? If not, then the care he received saved his life, if he was indeed in a diabetic coma.
I am sorry about their horrid service. No one deserves to be treated like that. Have you tried Urgent Care on 1 Tallowwood Drive in Clifton Park? They are usually pretty good & can help your father. Maybe you can call the Ellis Medicine & report the issue to Customer Service. I am sorry about your negative experience & your father's coma. May you both stay strong. πβΊπππ
My husband got excellent care while there
They are an emergent care (not urgent care) and should have been able to handle it. Sorry you went through that.
My boyfriends 16 year old type 1 diabetic daughter went in with hives, they gave her steroids and failed to educate her on the effect these steroids would have on her blood sugar, she went to work the next day and called her father in a panic, she went through half a bottle of insulin and could not control her sugar AT ALL. Extremely unsafe.
Really because I just got off the phone with them and they told me they are there for LIFE THREATENING ISSUES so I guess this place doesnβt even know their own procedures. Oh and they give people dirty rooms too.
