The lessons are beginner orriented. I taught there before and my parter and I started from bouncing to the music (the beat is kind of important haha), how to hold/touch your partner, to actually partner dancing. Every teaching pair teaches slightly differently. Also, go in expecting to rotate partners. Its a social dance and you have more fun when interacting with others. Also, you get better faster too! Oh, going in with a "im new at this and will get better slowly" attitude is helpful. Ive been taking lessons for dancing 10 years and will always keep improving.
Its a lot of fun, the instructors are great amd theres people of all talent/experience levels. Theres also plenty of tables to relax and just listen to the live band
The first hour is a group lesson. You will both like it!
