We rode bikes, metro reasonably close, but parking would be on the street and spotty. If youvwalk regularly, the taking the metro and walking would be easiest.

Note that the garage is not free except on Sundays. The cathedral has several driveways on its properties which offer free curbside parking except as restricted by signs… Such as during the school year, much of that curbside parking is reserved for Cathedral staff. But on Saturdays/Sundays, all of the curbside parking is open to the public.
