A lot more extensive than I was expecting it to be. You could spend all day at the shrine. Very beautiful and very informative. They even have a first class relic! Can’t wait to go back

I went to an all day workshop there. Be sure to bring a sweater if you’re there for more than just a little while! I attended a very good midday mass in the beautiful church. The mosaics are spectacular. They are outside as well as inside the sanctuary. I did not go to the gift store but very briefly. It looked good though. Parking was easy, vast and close to the entrance. Security was minimal but nice. It is located in a very lovely neighborhood close to the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Catholic University, Trinity and the Holy Land Shrine of the Franciscans.

According to the website: "Confessions are heard for 30 mins before each mass." Masses are held Mon-Sat at 12 Noon, and Sunday at 2:00pm and 7:00pm. Calendar can be found on the website. It looks like on Holy Thursday there is an Altar of repose in the Luminous Mysteries Chapel from 7pm-midnight, and stations of the cross on Good Friday at noon. On 1April 2018, Easter Sunday mass is at 2-3pm.
Monday through Saturday at noon.

They are open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and have Mass at 12 noon during the week and 11:00 and 2:00 on Sunday.
When the Shrine is normally open, we are open to walkers. The Shrine is currently closed on a regular basis because of the pandemic, but we are open daily for confessions and on Sundays for the 11am Spanish Mass and the 2pm English Mass. Confessions are 10-11am Mon-Sat and 3:30-5pm on Sundays. You must register for Mass at http://massattheshrine.eventbrite.com/. We hope this helps and hope the global health situation improves, so we can welcome you more extensively in person.
I buy it for you for a rosary to Divine Mercy. It is the best price you can sell it for. If you don't sell it for that price, pray the rosary to divine mercy and you will save your soul. The material value for which you want to sell it is just that: matter
Anne, thank you for your question. We have the capacity for approximately 100 vehicles and 8 motorcoaches. We are also closest to the Brookland-Catholic University Metro stop on the red line.
Nope, but its very near , a walk about five to ten mins
Yes. There is a lot of free parking available. Paid street parking available too.
Both are excellent places but I would recommend the jp2 Shrine
While our gift shop isn’t the largest, we do have a lot of exclusive items with the Shrine’s branding. We currently do not have on-site food service, but we do having caterers we frequently refer to groups making pilgrimages here. Ms. Sandoval, you may be thinking of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception half a mile down the road from us. They have two larger gift shops and a cafeteria in between. While we are both national shrines, we are different but equally important.
