I have a medium size oil painting that was given to us. The painting itself fits loosely into a frame which was also part of the gift. What's involved in fastening (I don't know if that's the appropriate term) the painting into the frame?

My suspicion is that it needs to be gently stretched on frame which they can probably handle.
