Wilcox Family Insurance Company | Sep 25, 2020

Unless you have a lender requesting coverage (Mortgage Request) you typically have to wait 30 days before coverage you requested today will go into effect. This is due to FEMA’s flood insurance guidelines. However, some private companies have entered the market in recent years which may allow you to obtain coverage sooner.

Does a red car or 2 door sports car make my auto insurance more expensive?

Wilcox Family Insurance Company | Sep 25, 2020
Wilcox Family Insurance Company | Sep 25, 2020

A red car is no more expensive than a blue, green, or purple car. This is a false myth that is very widely believed to be true. While a sports car may cost you more money due to the vehicles specifications, a 2 door can definitely be more expensive to ensure than an equivalent 4 door model of the same vehicle. (Ex. A Honda Civic Coupe compared to a Honda Civic Sedan)
