Music is played that can sometimes be loud depending on the genre, as they do not control it. Kids can be loud, and some days there are events. Sundays are busy days so get there early to find a seat. There are no outlets in the café, only on certain columns throughout the store.
Sometimes kids can be quite loud, but it wouldn't hurt to try.
If silence is important, then I'm not sure this would be ideal. The nearby Richard Byrd library has a study room available by appointment, if i recall correctly.
Yes, this is a good place to study.
Yes but there is a kids section
Yes , there is some level of noise though
For silence I would definitely choose a library first, but they do have coffee with unlimited 50 cent refills like Starbucks and there is free wi-fi. Plus they have huuuge dictionaries and a wide selection of other books so... halfway between a library and Starbucks as far as studying. I know I see a lot of people studying or doing work on laptops there, if that helps.
Thanks everyone, I usually go to Richard Byrd Library, but I'm looking for a good place to study on Sundays and public holidays, when the library remains closed. It's fine if it's not absolutely silent, I just hope it's not too loud.
