Once you surrender your pet, more than likely you won't get it back. We had a pet that my niece took with her and than later took it to the shelter and we can't even get him back u less we pay there fees
Contact the shelter. Please be sure you weigh all your options before surrendering an animal to the shelter.
Call them immediately but you still get charged for kennel and food while the animal is there.
