When are you projecting that the azaleas will be in bloom at the Arboretum?

I do not work for the arboretum, however in our zone azaleas often peak at the end of April/beginning of May. Think Mother's Day.

In Japan azaleas are known as Satsuki. Satsuki translates to the fifth month of the year (May) because that is when they are in bloom. So you can be pretty sure you will see flowers in May. There are now many hybrid azaleas that have multiple blooms throughout the year.
