It's the future of business in the US. If the customer is willing to do it themselves, why pay someone minimum wage to do it. Only way this will stop is by customers not using business that do this, but people will still use them, and unless something changes in the industry, this wont change. On a similar note, I did frequent a Walmart that had more checkout lines open than average. And had all but shutdown the self checkout, however one employee I asked stated that it was because customers kept trying to steal items through self checkout (it was in a diff state).
I know rich get richer and poor get poorer...i stand in line and complain every time lol
So we have to do the work ourselves with bagging our own groceries while the people on duty walk around and assist. Or better yet do nothing but make sure they remove a item every now and then when needed. But go in other departments you can never find ANYONE! PHOTO AND ELECTRONICS ARE THE WORSE!
Taking jobs away...more money for Walmart...you do the work, lol. I NEVER USE THEM!
That's how they keep the prices down. Less employees and more robots
