I agree with Mike. This hotel isn't close to the beach, probably a 13-15 mile drive. During season it gets very congested and parking is limited. Parking will cost you $2/hr at a meter or $8-12 at a lot. The shuttle is your best bet.
15 miles but it can take close to an hour of traffic is bad. The best recommendation is to drive to a shuttle pick-up and take the shuttle in and out of the beach area. Parking is free at the shuttle stops and I think the ride in costs about a dollar or less. It will save you a lot of time.
Fort Myers beach is approximately 15 miles away. Depending on the time of day and time of year, it could take 25 + minutes
