Does not happen all the time
Only thing I can think of, is it's so busy, and inexpensive that to be more efficient they would have to charge more, so it's a little bit of a trade off. Personally I would rather pay less, get the same quality of food, and just take the pickle and onion off myself.For the money, quality, and quantity, great ,great place. At least you leave feeling like you got a great meal for a great price, not alot of places like that anymore.
I never use the drive thru, but I notice that the one on Saxon always has a line. Pickles are removable.
I have to agree that once and one time only I went through the drive-thru and never again my service was not great at all , yeah I have received great service inside Steak and Shake their food is great and and the service is fabulous I guess the drive thru speaks for itself a drive-thru they want to see you drive in and get out and like most of us we just keep on driving but yes there inside service is great and as for myself I like to sit and eat so I must give them 5 stars when it comes to inside service their food is yummy

Yes, those that have problems don't seem to get corrected quickly quick. So slowly that you can tell the problem restaurants by the online comments.
Don't go enough to Steak and Shake I answer that question. I don't know if there's speaker outside or the microphone that they can't hear you too well. It just could be that they don't train employees enough to keep the customer happy. I know the line takes forever ever going through the drive-thru
I have to agree I don't ever remember having an issue with their drive thru..now some other establishment drive thrus NO QUESTION!!
