Haven’t been in a long time so we popped in for a quick lunch and shakes. I was surprised when I realized they don’t wait on you anymore. You order from a kiosks and it asks for a tip before you even get any service which I find odd. You do everything besides go in the back and cook your own food so not sure what the tip is for. I thought me buying food was paying their wages but I guess they don’t get paid enough to where it falls on the customer to pay their wages. I guess I’m getting old because I grew up thinking you tipped people for waiting on you and getting anything you needed when you needed it, based on how well they did determined the amount to be tipped. Not here. They want that tip before they even do anything at all. Weird. Food was good though. Maybe one day they’ll replace all the employees and it will just be a vending machine.

Kids meals are perfect size. Bump up your milk choice to a strawberry or banana shake, no whip,, for just 1.2 more and they love it.

First time to this steak n shake. Daughter ordered online. Went in to pick up and forgot the large drink. Went back and they gladly gave me the drink. Nice place w friendly workers.
