I gave blood in Cary a year ago. I had to take off my mask and put a thermometer in my mouth. This made me feel very unsafe. Is this still a requirement? My temperature had already been taken at the door (no touch).

Oral temp is taken in screening. Don't give if that is a problem

Oral temperature is required, and the staff takes the appropriate measures to make things safe.

No touch temp at door. Oral temperature taken in room before giving blood . All techs still wear masks when I've been there. (Last 2 weeks ago). I donate blood regularly and feel quite safe.

Temperature is part of the required screening for donation, along with hemoglobin, pulse and blood pressure
