Yes, there are both back in and pull thru spots available. As other have noted, there are no hookups nor is there any hot water. There are cold water showers. Its a nice park, but it can get crowded, hot, and buggy. Weekdays are better than weekends. Ocean City is about 20 minutes from the park. Be aware that there is an entrance fee for the park in addition to the camping charge. The entrance pass is good for a week (last time I checked). The State Park has more amenities, but it fills up get quickly. An alternative to both would be Pocomoke River State Park. There you have shade, a nice swimming pool, and great kayaking. There are hookups, laundry facilities, a camp store, and hiking trails. It is about 1/2 an hour south west of OCMD. If you have kids, this might be a better choice, as beach camping can be brutally hot at times.
Yes you can book online https://www.recreation.gov summer weekends are hard to find a site. If you are looking for this summer I would try today.
Yes, reservations go thru Recreation.gov, for the national seashore part. No hookups. Reservations can be made 6 months in advance, and they fill up fast. There's also a Maryland state park part.
