You will need to go to the visitors center at the base, and they will explain the process
Do you have a id? Is there ANY thing preventing from getting on base like have you been a good boy
Are you a retired AF Vet? When you retired did you get a green retiree card when you got out of the AF. If you have that and a VA disability card it should be no problem. However if you didn't retire out you have to go to the visitor center and valid reason to get on any military installation. You can also call the visitor center and they will answer any questions you may have.
JUST TO LET YOU KNOW THE BASE IS CLOSED TODAY DUE TO WEATHER.
If you don't know for sure you will be allowed thru a gate, do not approach it. Thats just general rule. The visitor's center here is outside the gate so visitors can talk to security forces and learn current procedures without interrupting traffic, start with them if unsure. If you have a clean record and are driving a road legal vehical thats owned by some one with a clean record you can drive up to the gate and present a retired ID with no concerns.
Yes, provided there are no issues preventing you from entering from entering a military installation. And you should know that. Just go to the main (north) gate on hiwy north of the city of Minot and see the visitor center (easy to see).
