So they do have descriptions of the ingredients and a glossary of some Japanese words to tell you kamo=duck, etc. Second, this isn't Panda Express, what are you talking about chicken or shrimp noodles? If you don't want ramen, I wouldn't recommend a ramen shop...
They serve traditional-style ramen noodles and some sides and desserts. Terms like "tonkotsu" and "miso" ramen can be looked up online. Finally, the servers are very knowledgeable about each of the menu items and are more than happy to give you a crash course.
The menu is in Japanese for the most part. The waiters are really informative though. If you want to have ramen and not just noodles I highly suggest that you visit strings.
