Best ramen in the city, easily.

The spicy garlic miso ramen was decent. Broth was ok, noodles were ok, spice level was ok, meat was fatty. Not much to complain about there, but nothing to write home about. The gyoza was disappointing. There is very little indoor seating, so the wait is long. Also very disappointed that there is no longer Tsukemen served (despite it being on the menu on their website).

Small but very great place whose food packs a great punch. They fit us in right before their midday closing and gave us ample amount of time to try everything. Ambience was classic although kind of plain. Host & wait staff were very professional and had nice recommendations. We had the Kara Aga (which was near perfect taste wise), & Hanetsuki dumplings for appetizers. The original tonkotsu was well made & the classic hakata was 5 star. We also tried the Zombie Killer & Leeches for our drinks and they were amazing and went with all our dishes. Super rainy when we came so didn’t get pic of outside but Will be coming back here when back in chicago.

Maybe I'm just super unlucky but EVERY time I've visited (been 3+ times), my noodles are always stuck together and poorly presented. Always looks gross (but still tastes okay I guess)! Good ramen but not above and beyond anything I've had. Everyone always raves about this place but honestly, it's a tad bit OVERRATED. Considering how you always have to wait due to its popularity and smaller size, I'd say it's more worth your time to go elsewhere to get ramen, as there are tons of delicious options in the city. Delicious? Yes. Worth the long waits and potentially uncomfortable seating? Nope.

I've taken a toddler (2 yrs old) on a Friday before the main dinner crowd arrived and it was fine, would probably not go any later than 6pm with an older child.
