Morro Dunes spots are no closer than any other RV Park. It is clean, well managed, and right across from the beach. It is a nice place and fire pits are fine.
Many of the spots are around the circle of a dead end and are pie shaped. A little tricky to get in, but ample space. There is always a nice breeze, and right next to the ocean. I just wish you could stay longer than two weeks a month... It is an active place, but they keep it clean and I felt like my stuff was safe. Plenty of bathrooms and laundry rooms. Literally steps from the beach!! One of my favorites
Some sites can be small, but compared to other rv parks in the area, this is by far the best! Some others are even smaller. The Dunes is well kept and clean!
I enjoy this park. It is well maintained, close to the beach, and the sites are spaced fine in my opinion.
There sites are narrow but the location is worth it.
Does security at the park handle problem nieghbors?
Morro dunes is great, been going there for years. You may be thinking of Morro strand 1 & 2. We stayed at #2 an it was horrible.
Site was a little narrow, was able to park my F350 crew cab longbed near the pit. You would have to use your head and build a small but not bonfire. Neighbors were good
Fire pits are very close because the spots are very narrow and short and if you're parking a trailer your tow vehicle must be right up next to it and then the barrel & the fire is right next to the truck! The sites are also made up of Muddy sand.
Don't be scared. It's a nice place.
The spots are close but have ample room. Super clean. Didn't use firepit but they looked clean and those using them had nice fires but nothing roaring
Some spaces are narrow and some have ample room, it all depends on those that are camped next to you, there are always those that abused the fire pits and the noise curfew
Noise depends on who your neighbors are. We had a very quiet stay. Same for fire pits. Unless your next to a pyromaniac of course.
They are not noisy. The fire pits are for small campsite fires. They work fine if used right
I am just a morro bay enthusiast who has travelsd quite a bit, and i can tell tou these sites are no closer and the park is not noisy at all. i cant beleieve how well you can hear the ocean, and tonight the seagulls. there is nearly no traffic, except yo go to the adjacent beach. after 10 pm, no ine can be parked and aitting in theor cars. With aggressive pilicing and the clearing iut ofthe homeless camp yhst eas along thc creek, which was also aggressive, therc lark has never been more wuiet or oraceful. other things on the same road are industrial ir mitelish. This yown, cayucos, avila, and even pismo are all besch towns that tuck in rarly. for hilidays there is a blip of rowdiness. nothong more. These folks thst run this placr keep it way orderly and neat. the most rowdy thing youll ever see isa bit of beer drinking and ccildren ruckus. milotat best. now regsrding the fire risk. yes, its a eindy place and embers fly. they could catch anything on fire. but the fire pits are in barrgq
Is this for tent sites or RV sites? Tent sites are separated by wooden walls, some RV sites are also excluding the ones in the circular drive areas labeled A through G. We camp here every other year when visiting Morro Bay and we love it. Clean and maintained. Electricity and water available even in tent sites. Indoor showers that are NOT coin operated, laundry facilities and very close to the Morro Strand SB. Most people are very polite and respectful of your space and quiet hours.
