The pif tax was put in when hammock landings was built it was to pay for the road improvements when it was built but it never went away so if you shopped at any of the stores all the food stores shopping stores any in that area has that extra tax.
There are plenty of locals like myself who shop and need to use these stores.. Not just tourists. I don't see many tourists in Palm Bay anyway! Why would they come here?
Sounds to me, they need to be boycotted.
I know I would not eat there again. Or is it just me?
They. Charge for you to eat or shop at hammock there own tax
Yes I was outraged when I learned of it. Cleaning up outside? That is the owner of the property's problem!!! Should not be mine. I have my own
One persent goes to hammock landing
7 percent sales taxAnd 1 percent goes to the shopping center
Living in a "tourism" generated economy such as Florida is, making the general consumer pay these extra taxes is ideal because most of the general consumers are tourist's. They expect to pay extra for goods and services on vacation. Service staff in some restaurants have to pay the owner of the business 3% of their total chargers(daily) when guests use credit cards. So tell me that's fair.
All transactions that occur inside of Hammock Landings have a fee to fund maintenance, cleaning, etc. of the Hammock Landings public space.
That would be the last time I eat there, that's messed up they charge you triple tax.
